1) How hard is the NAVBOX install?

The NAVBOX install can easily be installed by any qualified radio install shop. DO-IT-YOURSELF type of individuals will find the install simple. You basically cut into four wires for the display, patch in the NavBox and apply power to the NavBox.

2) Do I have to modify my xbox?

No. You can use your xbox in its native state, however modifying your xbox will unleash the true power of the xbox. A modded xbox allows you to store all your games on the hard drive, play game back-ups, play dvd's with no dongle, store media and movies on the harddrive, store all your MP3 files, use a media player to play your files and the list goes on.

3) Can you mod an xbox for me?

Sure

4) Does the NavBox have auxilliary inputs?

No. To keep the cost of the NavBox down I did not include auxilliary inputs. Being that the xbox is an all-in-one type of device, you may never need auxilliary inputs. I dont have any immediate plans to offer aux inputs.

5) Can the NavBox work with a PC?

In its current state No. I am working on a solution for a PC though. I am disappointed at the PC solutions out there now. The resolution is usally awful and unusable for anything other than watching a DVD. I am doing research on a way to maximize the resolution.

6) How is the video quality of the NavBox?

The video quality is excellent. The navbox does not suffer from the video conversion problems of other solutions. The video is crisp and clear.

7) How about the audio?

The NavBox does not process audio, it merely passes thru it to a set of RCA jacks on the unit. The end user must find a method of getting the audio into the head unit. The PAC interface is a great option or you may use a RF Modulator.

8) Will the NavBox work with the NoNag?

Yes they compliment eachother. The NoNag will blank the screen when the discalimer pops up. You will never see the disclaimer screen because the NoNag instructs the NavBox to swith modes temporarily. The NoNag is not required for installation of the NavBox.

9) How do you power the xbox?

The xbox is powered by an inverter that can supply 150 watts of continuous power. These are fairly inexpensive. However some inverter designs are electrically noisy and you may see artifacts of this noise on your screen. A noise filter is recommended on installations. In some cases a ground loop isolator may be needed on audio lines. I cannot recommend specific brands of inverters but I have had success with Pyle and Vector brands. Buy an inverter from a vendor that will accept returns in case you want to switch brands.

10) I dont have any space under my passenger seat for an Xbox. Can I mount my Xbox in the trunk?

Yes. In this case a wireless RF joystick may be your best bet. A modded Xbox will be able to play DVD's with the joystick alone and the IR remote control (which won't work anyway) will not be needed. Modding your Xbox will broaden your install options.

11) Can I use the HomeLink buttons to turn on the XBox? Can I use the Homelink buttons to switch video modes?

Yes, as you can see in the G35 video it can be done. Some additional hardware (remote control unit and relays) will be necessary to perform this as well as running a wire to the power button of your Xbox. It is a nice weekend project if you have the experience to perform these additional modifications.

12) What are the 3 RCA connectors on the NavBox?

There is one auxilliary composite video output so you may feed extra headrest or rear passenger monitors. The other two RCA jacks are the audio feed from the xbox. The NavBox does not process the sound at all. It is merely a pass-thru connection.

1) How hard is the NoNag to install.

2) Will the NoNag work in any car?

NoNag devices are currently installed in Murano's and Infinit FX's. I have not performed any installation in a G35 yet but I am working on it. If there is anyone out there who wants to be a candidate for testing in the NYC area please let me know.

3) How does the NoNag work.

The NoNag will automatically press enter for you when the disclaimer pops up on the display. Its that simple. On the Infiniti FX the NoNag also monitors the reverse line for those with the TECH package. This ensures that the disclaimer is processed correctly.
